An Early Start and a Smoky Finish
From the early line at Rusch Park to the Time Bombs Takeover, a Saturday full of good cars, good company, and a smoky finish.

We figured getting to Rusch Park at the crack of dawn would put us ahead of the crowd. Apparently, the crowd had figured the same thing.
There was already a long line waiting when we arrived for the Nor Cal Cruisers’ Halloween show. So much for sneaking in early. Still, there are worse places to spend a little time than in a line of good cars, especially when the rest of the day is reserved for more of the same.
Once inside, there was plenty worth stopping for. A lot of cool cars, some familiar faces, and a few people we hadn’t met yet. We spent time with friends, made a few new acquaintances, and did the usual car-show shuffle: look at a car, get talking, forget where you were headed.
That’s generally how the better days go.
Rusch Park would have made a fine Saturday on its own, but we had another stop to make. We met up with a couple more friends and headed for the Time Bombs Takeover.
The Time Bombs put on another great show. Plenty of rad cars, several bands keeping things moving, and the kind of crowd that makes you glad you didn’t call it a day after the first stop.

There’s something about this one. You look around and recognize a lot of the people who keep showing up for the scene. Not just for the biggest trophy or the best parking spot, but for each other. The cars give everybody a reason to gather. Those friendships are what keep them coming back.
That showed at the Takeover. Good company, good music, and plenty of reasons to take another walk through the cars before leaving.
Then an impromptu burnout session broke out. Conversations paused, cameras came out, and a few tires gave up what was left of their weekend.
We’d been at it since sunrise, and there was still plenty to talk about after the smoke cleared. Another Saturday well spent.
A few more from the lot.
